In a 24/7 online world, there is no time to stop and rest, to relax and rejuvenate from working.
But in the real world – the world in which people run their own businesses – gift shops and restaurants, small grocery stores and fine art painting studios – one cannot work 24/7. There simply has to be time away from work.
And so it is, also, for people who do not own their businesses but work for another. As much as corporations and governments wish it were possible for people to work all the time, non-stop, for them and their interests (“We’re your FAMILY!”), we are not machines. And, as humans, we have many interests and pursuits in addition to that of work.

About Steve Henderson
I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
