Description
A dreamcatcher is many things, although many of us associate it with a Native American artwork with spiritual implications.
In the artwork, Dreamcatcher, a young woman stands at the base of cliffs in Zion National Park, in a state of dance and mediation. There is joy here and freedom, and the woman looks ahead to her future with confidence and strength.
In some ways – many ways, actually – that future will be rocky, because that’s what life is: it consists of many difficult and winding paths that take us up, through, and over obstacles that, from a distance, look impossible to cross or traverse. But because life, like any journey, consists of one step at a time, we find that we make considerable distance just by taking that one step at a time, one step after another.
Dreamcatcher is a moment of pause in this journey, when the young woman stands atop a rock overlooking the view and glories in the warmth of the sun, the beauty of the landscape before her, and the steps that she has already taken to get her. Dreamcatcher is a reminder – and an encouragement – that thought life’s journey is a challenging one, it takes us to and through beautiful places – and oddly (or maybe not so oddly), the most beautiful places are ones we reach after much struggle, determination, and persistence.
It is there that we find the fulfillment of our dreams.
Dreamcatcher is featured on 27 Fine Art America groups.

A special word of thanks to the buyer from Washington state of a print of Dreamcatcher: may this artwork be a constant reminder of all the possibilities found in the human soul and spirit -- that spirit that overcomes, that reaches beyond, that says "Just give it one more try." Enjoy the view!

I love this feeling of freedom on this beautiful work, and the look into the future that promises, with the many winds that follow us and the many cliffs that await us, there are still wonderful purple and blue pastel colors as well as warm ocher! All will be well! Revisiting and share. Pin/Tw
