If dreams aren’t big – impossibly big really – then they’re not dreams.

Dreams are sometimes confused with goals, items on a list, plans – all of which are manageable, able to be reached with enough hard work and persistence.

But dreams. Ah . . . dreams. Dreams are big things, great things, grand flights of our imagination and soul into a dimension that is beyond and deeper than what we are taught is reality. Dreams are what we hold deep in our heart, deep in our being, and rarely, if ever, share with others, because we know how some people, in ploddings of unimagination, shoot down other people’s dreams. (They almost seem to enjoy it.)

Indeed, we ourselves rarely allow ourselves to look at our dreams, much less admit to having them, because we have been so well trained by corporate thought, religious teaching, authority-driven indoctrination to deny that they should even exist.

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
