Description
Peace and quiet reign while a group of ducks enjoy their morning swim.
The location – a small pond in a country forest – is one of peace, quiet, and tranquility, elements that wildlife enjoys and seeks out. As humans, we can learn wisdom from the animal world, and seek places of peace, quiet, and tranquility ourselves.
Obviously, in this “modern” world filled with busy-ness, commerce, traffic, and the constant beeps, blips, ringing, and buzzing of assorted electronic devices, we spend a lot of time in environments that are not silent. It is for this reason, however, that our beings crave that silence, a time and place away from what is essentially noise pollution.
In the same way that our lungs need good, fresh air to breathe, our minds and being need good, silent time in which to think, to ponder, to wonder, to dream, to imagine, to pray, to simply be. Mallard Grove is an invitation to the viewer to step into this world of tranquility and quiet, and in order to not disturb the ducks peacefully paddling on the pond, we enter this world in a hushed state.
Fine artwork like Mallard Grove is a means for us, in our too busy and too noisy society, to find that time and place of quietness and peace. Especially if we live in an urban environment, too far to walk or even drive to an isolated hamlet like the forest of Mallard Grove, artwork provides a means for us to immerse ourselves in a place of peace, silence, and beauty.
Even those of us who live in small towns or the countryside can find ourselves going days without time in these special, quiet places, and artwork for us, as well, is a connection to the beauty of Nature. Enter the world of Mallard Grove and listen to the soft sounds of ducks quacking, the ripple of water as they paddle gently around, the whisper of the wind in the woods.
