Artist's Description
Some winters are more brutal than others – it seems as if the snow will never melt, never go away. It just hangs on and on, a little dirtier and icier, but determined to stay.
But . . . the decision to stay is not the snow’s, nor winter’s – because every single year, spring arrives with its sunshine and its warmth and it promise of new growth. Joyously, happily, colorfully, spring dances into the landscape, liberally sprinkling the trees with blossoms, the meadows with wildflowers, the sky with soft white clouds.
Spring in the Wallowas, the artwork, celebrates just such a time and a season. High in the mountains of east central Oregon, USA, the landscape retains a sense of winter’s coolness, and in the background you can see the mountains, still covered with snow.
But in the foreground, the grass is green, the trees are budding, and bushes explode in a profusion of colorful blossoms.
“Spring! Spring! Spring is here!” the landscape not only sing...
About Steve Henderson

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
