Such a beautiful painting Steve, love the flowers in the foreground and in the vase to her left. Such a good reminder of how we need to be mindful of the beauty that surrounds us each day and the necessity of focusing on doing less things but with all our focus rather than rushing from one thing to the next. A delicate, romantic and thought provoking piece Steve. The color pallet, brush strokes and image make you stare and wonder why she is getting so dressed up. Is it a ball? Is it a party? A wedding perhaps? It doesn't matter, your work creates such a stimulating thought process, it is always fun to get lost in your art even if it is for a few minutes.

Love the beautiful soft, warm light and pastel hues. Your brush stokes embody the spirit of the piece and the gentleness, gracefulness and romance is pure magic. L/F
Thank you, Regina, for your kind words. I really enjoyed the brush strokes on this painting, as they were a strong part in bringing about the ruffles in the dress, the blossoms in the flowers, and the abstract impressionist background in which the woman resides. It all adds, I believe, to the sense of romance -- and, I hope, freedom and joy.
