Sea grass softly waves in a gentle afternoon breeze, the afternoon sun casting shadows upon the sand. It is peaceful here.

Indeed, many places on the central Oregon coast give the traveler and visitor such a sense of peace and tranquility. Because this is a cooler coast, it does not attract the surfers that one finds in warmer climes (although there are the diehards, with the wet suits, who put on an impressive show for those of us who stay on the shore), but the people who do visit and live here do so because there is a rugged, gracious beauty of beaches that intersperse with cliffs and rocks, and a surf that is calm one moment, and tempestuous the next.

Sea Breeze invites the viewer into this place of tranquility, peace, and quiet, beckoning him or her to step gently through the waving sea grass and onto the sand between. If one is careful, it is very possible to walk through the sand and grass with bare feet, and the coolness of the sand on the bare skin heightens...

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
