But then again, in the eyes of a child, much of what the adult world does not see or understand, is something that is to be treasured and held. In the eyes of a child, there is no difference between a diamond and a cut piece of glass, because both sparkle and are pretty, and the intrinsic value of each lies in its beauty, not its perceived rareness.
In the eyes of a child, a warm, sunny day with a breeze is a time to sit in the grass and make necklaces from the most beautiful, prolific flower about – one that, in adult eyes, we should value for the little time that it lasts. Though the dandelion is prolific, it is short lived, and theoretically there should be some value in that.

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 13 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
