Sinuous and graceful, a young woman reposes in thought.
She is relaxed and poised, draping her athletic body elegantly as she leans into her arms. Her very posture expresses a sense of peace, quiet, and calm.

Thinking, deep thinking, is intense, but oddly, that intensity does not reflect itself in our posture. People who are deeply thinking and concentrating upon something often seem very relaxed, eyes closed, all their energy concentrated in their minds.
They are in a state of repose.
“I sure don’t look like this when I repose,” some mutter.

I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 13 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
